Good lord! Check out the voice on this lady! It's like Janis Joplin if she had the strength of a driving hurricane behind her. It's like she's calling down the storm with every song. Even in the calm of "I Got A Secret" and "What's That Smell?" you can feel the energy as if electricity is about to arch across the sky. This energy comes to its fullest strength on "Whole Lotta Love"; The Willie Dixon song Zeppelin made a house hold tune. It's awesome all the ground Kane covers in differing Blues styles on this album, from the lounge jazz of "When the Hangover Strikes" to the Ball-of-Fire-Piano-Boogie of "I'm Just a Sucker Who Believes In Love." Every thing is here: heavy Blues-Rock, swing, even Delta flavored acoustic work, just proving Kane knows what she's talking about when it comes to the blues, but topping off all that is the deadly combination of a sweet smile and the attitude of a wildcat. I'd be as bold as to say this is on of the best Blues if not all around albums I've heard this year. Go out and buy this album, you'll find something to love, if you don't drop deep into obsession over the whole thing. Rating: A+
